I love my Ipsy bag this month!!
Not only is it a great selection of products but four of
the all five items I received are from cruelty free companies 🙂
February Theme: The Look Of Love
Seems to be a black and pink theme…
I really dig February and Valentine’s Day!
(Why yes, I am a total dork!)
However, after reading the theme I cannot
get that freaking ABC song out of my head now…
Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow in Spiced Rum
Retail $18 for .14 oz – Full Sized Sample
This is a great base for eyeshadow. I have to use a light touch or it gets dark.
It reminded me of MAC Paints – just creamier.
Nu·Me Intense Renewal Hair Mask
Retail $29 for 6 fl oz – Sample Value $4.83 for 1 fl oz
I have course wavy hair that sucks up product.
This stuff is amazing!
My hair felt hydrated for at least four days!!!
That never happens
This product would be too heavy for thin or fine hair.
Also, I could not find any information regarding this
being cruelty free but I did contact the company.
Will update with their response.
Update 3/5/14: Nu·Me contacted me and let me know
that their products are NOT tested on animals!
City Color Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon
Retail $2.99 – Full Sized Sample
This was not my color – peaches do not look good with my skin.
And this has a very orangy/peachy tone to it.
However, I did appreciate how well it worked.
My girlfriend next door really loves it!
Pop Beauty Plump Pout Lip Gloss Mini in Peony Petal
Retail $16 for .3 oz / 8.5 g – Sample Value $7.53 for .14 oz / 4 g
This is the first Pop Beauty product I actually like!
I was scared when it first went on – VERY pink
but then it went sheer. My hubby noticed it right away
and in a good way 😉
It does not plump my lips and I still can’t get past all of the
mineral oil they use. But it’s not horrible.
Zoya Nail Polish in Odette
Retail $9 for .5 fl oz – Full Sized Sample
Soooo happy I received this lilac color. It is very neutral
without being boring! A great addition to my spring line up!
Total Value for my February Ipsy bag – $42.35
Ipsy continues to thrill me every month.
I love that they are supporting more cruelty free companies.
I hope that one day they will offer us the choice to only receive cruelty free items.
